Godly Weapons?
What upgrades qualify weapons as godly? I see this "godly" description around all the time which people seemed to have pulled from D2 from what I understand.
I know something like Fortitude +30hp is well liked. What else is there? What upgrades should I look for and make sure to sell rather than waste or trash? If I missed a post on this, feel free not to waste your time flaming me. (Saw the godly sword post, but was looking for more about upgrades.) Any helpful doobies answers are otherwise greatly appreciated. |

Godly is just a marketing term for multiple mods and probably max damage. People will use it in a futile attempt to make the weapon they are selling look better to the masses.

"Godly" simply means that person want to charge outragously for the item, nothing more. There isn't an item "Godly" in this game. There isn't any item that gives you outreagous amounts of skills, doubles your health, or increase your damage to 1 hit kills. Eveything that can help you get these types of skills are readily found. Personnally i am waiting for the first moron to call Black or Gold Dye godly.

lol, Godly is just a term that has been designated by players, however it stemmed from
blue items -- uncommon puple items -- rare gold items -- very rare "Godly" that was the original classification, now I think anything deemed good by an individual is "Godly" however, many people who are selling Godly Items are referring to Very rare items |

Thanks very much for your answers folks. +5 energy... I just got a staff with that this evening. I wonder if I should risk trying to expert salvage it off the staff. The staff itself is kinda silly...
10-21 damage (Req. 9 smiting) 14% chance of improving death magic cast times +10 energy +5 energy (Insightful) +18% vs. Charrslaying Deathly afraid of salvaging the charr B.S instead. |

You might find someone who is willing to take the staff for +15. Although most people would want a 20/20 staff so I say if you can't find a buyer (or if you want the staff head) then salvage it.

Godly just means 'I want a lot more money than this is actually worth'.
As for weapons, most casters are best served using 20/20 staves. Warriors and Rangers want +15% rare mods of their choice. For upgrades, the most valuable ones are +3 vampiric sword/axe parts, +5 vampiric hammer/bow parts, +30 health fortitude parts, +20% enchanting, and +5 energy. The best mods are +5 armor, +1 energy per hit / -1 energy regeneration, and the aformentioned +20% enchanting. Oh, 10% sundering is incredibly valuable for some reason, as well. Anything that has a scalable value, but is close to the minimum value (10% enchanting, +20 health) isn't worth selling. You want to deal with near-max components if you want a good return on your time spent selling in town. Peace, -CxE

Sort of on/off topic. Just trying not to bog down the forums with starting a new thread for a simple question...
What's the maximum +energy a staff can have? (Without mods, Insightfulness or whatever?) I was thinking of searching for one and just using the mod for myself. One with max energy I mean. I think the highest I have seen is +10, is that it? Thanks again all you nice, helpful people! |

11-22 damage, +10 energy is as high as staves go.
Peace, -CxE
